Firesong Has Left the Building

Well the time has come to say my goodbyes. You don't always get to say everything you want in the game so I am going to do it here. The last 8 months have been awesome, despite all the spats and misunderstandings I have enjoyed playing the game of WoW. I have been fortunate enough to meet a lot of wonderful people that I consider to be friends and I will miss all of them during my time away from WoW. So for the time being this blog will take on a different purpose, it will become a way for me to keep in touch with those that I have become close to and hopefully others that drop in every now and then to just say sup! I wish you all the best of luck in the months to come.

*Special Goodbye* goes out to Hazl, who if I remember correctly wasn't on when I logged, I look forward to learning the Holy ropes from you when I start to play again oh great one =). Oh and since I never got around to it, you should so make that King me baby Macro, cause it was a rocking idea.

There is a tradition in my family, that when it comes to saying goodbye we also share an Irish blessing, whether it be family or friends, it is one that I take very seriously so here it goes, most of you will probably know this blessing,

"May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand."

Peace out everyone

Considering the Holier Side

Here lately I have been considering the idea of dropping my ret spec, and going holy again. It has not been easy deciding what to do, I've been ret from day one, and it was only when I hit 80 that I started to dapple in Prot and Holy. In the end I chose to duel spec as Prot, it just came easier to me, to be hitting a enemy, then healing a fellow hordie. Even though being honest I never really gave holy the shot it deserved. Amorgan in some ways has kinda edged me towards holy as well, he's reasoning, dps is a dime a dozen, its always heals, or tanks that everyone is looking for. Which he is right, but ret to me is like my security blanket, I'm comfortable with it, and its the one thing that I know in and out. But I'm also the type of person that likes to try new things, I like challenges, and going holy would be both. Right now I'm just sorta torn, so I'm putting this out there for others to comment on and give me there YAY or NAH. Should I decided to go holy, I will still keep my ret gear, just in case I find that holy really isn't me, or I just plain suck at it.

In the end the path I choose will be totally of my choice, but having the input of people I consider to be friends is also nice to. (Note any change that I make will more then likely happen after amorgan and I come back from our forced break from WOW. lol)

I call BULLSHIT

I'm getting really tired of people in the game of WoW....I mean seriously its a F*in game and people want to take things personal or start shit and its just really, really sad. Tonight we raided with Impact Players....well I wouldn't really call it raiding, we did Constructer and that was pretty much it because they started Flame before amorgan and I were there. Being honest, I am not a big fan of raiding with Impact, because the last time I did, I was less then enthused about the loot distribution rules. The way they were explained and the way I understood it to be was this, Guild gets first on loot, if no one needs it within the guild then it goes to others who have raided with them before, if no one needs it either then it will go to the *newbies*. Now don't get me wrong guild's are entitled to there way of looting, but seriously do they expect people to be happy with those rules. I mean come on, you want some one to give 110% on dps, healing, or tanking but you only want to give them a slight chance to get some gear.

So after Constructer amorgan and I opted to leave the group, I left because I had kid aggro and amorgan left because to him there wasn't a point to stay, he knew it would be a slim chance to get gear so he was honest when he left, he told him that he wasn't staying because to him he didn't stand a chance to get gear in their group. Which spark some hostility and he was whispered to by one of the players in Impact Players wanting to know what he meant. So he explained, that with their loot rules it was slim to none that he would be able to get anything and to him there was other things he could be doing. To which the other player replied, that thats not how it is and he must of misunderstood their way of looting, and blah blah blah, that he basically disrespected them. And all I have to say to that is BULLSHIT. I was on vent when loot came up and before things were rolled on the loot master pretty well named everyone who was getting what....and even held on to loot for someone who wasn't in the raid. But yet thats not how there loot system is...please tell it to someone who might believe you. I'm almost to the point where I am about to uninstall this damn game.

Saying Goodbye to WoW...For a Short Time

For those who don't already know, Sept 25th will probably be the last time that amorgan and I will be able to play wow for awhile. Amorgan, who has proudly served his country for the past 3 years is getting out of the military so that we can move back to Missouri and be closer to our families, this is the best decision for our family at this time, due to everything that has happened in the last couple of months. Unfortunately the part of Missouri that we are going to be living in at first while we get back on our feet and stuff all sorted out is not really Internet friendly and won't support wow so we are being forced into an uncertain time away from WoW. We are only hoping to be gone for no longer then 6 months but only time will tell. However there might be a few times when we are able to get back on for short periods of time, but can't say it for sure. I am not really to fond of this because of the friendships I have formed while playing but I have to do what I have to do for my family. I will miss everyone while I am AFK =), but it will only be for awhile. We shall return I promise. But intill the 25th I plan on getting better equipment for fire, lvling my other alts and just plain rocking it out, in till I have to make my exit. When that day comes, this blog will turn into a place more or less to stay in touch with my wow buddies, so make sure you all drop a line every now and then. LOL

Things You Might of Missed

In my last blog I detailed my reasons for leaving Honor and Glory...yes I know I have neglected my little blog and for that I am sorry. In the time since I last wrote a lot of stuff has changed. The major one being that Amorgan and I are no longer apart of Deathgrip. Hard feelings arose between amorgan and another player and he opted to leave, I followed shortly after due to the main fact, that to me this is a game. It is something I do to have fun, so I have a huge problem when a person who will remain nameless takes things to a personal lvl and begins not only insulting the player's toon but the real life person who they know nothing about. For the first time in my WoW playing history, I wanted to reach through the computer and literally choke the crap out of someone. My anger that night reached an all time high and I unleashed a tongue lashing that I nor that person will soon forget. I want it to be known that I am severly protective of those that I love and to hear someone bad mouthing my husband who has served his country and put his life on the line to protect our freedom just sent me over the edge. Now that being said, while I have cut ties with certain memebers of deathgrip there are still others who I remain in touch with and will still continue to help out whenever I can.

After being guildless for a few days, Amorgan and I decided to form our own guild, which is simply titled . We are both very proud of this guild and look forward to helping other players get there toons to 80 and then helping them get gear.

Also I have been hard at work lvling my other toons, I now have a lvl 64 DK, a lvl 34 Mage, and a lvl 20 Warlock. I have been busting my butt trying to get them all lvled as soon as possible. My theory, quest with one intill they go in the purple on exp gain, then switch to another and repeat. It works wonderfully for me I can usually get 2-3 lvls on a toon before I have to rest them and switch.

And speaking of questing, there has been a handful of people who have joined and then left because they were not being constantly ran through instances. So I am going to share my opinion on this. Running instances are great for getting equipment upgrades and for some exp. But if you want to lvl your toon questing is and always will be the fastest way to do it. Having an 80 run a lower lvl through an instance a few times is just insane, for one your not going to get the same exp as you would if you just went with a group of people the same lvl, and yes you might lvl but its not going to be as fast as you would think, you want fast lvling go to a place pick up all the quest and go do them all, then come back and turn them in and you would be suprised at just how fast you shoot through a lvl. This is just my opinion though, and there are those who would disagree and thats cool, opinions are like assholes everyones got one.
