Considering the Holier Side

Here lately I have been considering the idea of dropping my ret spec, and going holy again. It has not been easy deciding what to do, I've been ret from day one, and it was only when I hit 80 that I started to dapple in Prot and Holy. In the end I chose to duel spec as Prot, it just came easier to me, to be hitting a enemy, then healing a fellow hordie. Even though being honest I never really gave holy the shot it deserved. Amorgan in some ways has kinda edged me towards holy as well, he's reasoning, dps is a dime a dozen, its always heals, or tanks that everyone is looking for. Which he is right, but ret to me is like my security blanket, I'm comfortable with it, and its the one thing that I know in and out. But I'm also the type of person that likes to try new things, I like challenges, and going holy would be both. Right now I'm just sorta torn, so I'm putting this out there for others to comment on and give me there YAY or NAH. Should I decided to go holy, I will still keep my ret gear, just in case I find that holy really isn't me, or I just plain suck at it.

In the end the path I choose will be totally of my choice, but having the input of people I consider to be friends is also nice to. (Note any change that I make will more then likely happen after amorgan and I come back from our forced break from WOW. lol)

  1. I leveled as ret, and man... you can mow some stuff down. But my experience has been that holy is much more exciting. Now, it's sort of the "I really hope I don't screw up and wipe everyong" kind of exciting, but the adreline is definitely flowing. There just seems like there's so much more to do.

You can always go back to ret. A little gold, your ret gear, and you're back to knocking baddies down.

If you want any advice, just let me know. I know a couple of decent pally healers.... : )

  2. LOL...believe me if I decide to go holy, You, Bard, and Erilis were going to be the first one's I sought out for advice. You three are some of the most dedicated Paladin healers I have seen and any advice you could offer I know would be golden.
